Wolves vs Manchester City reviewWolves and Manchester City played their first game of the 2020-21 season of Premier League. In our preview of the game, we predicted that it would be a tough game for Manchester City. If we look at big names like Liverpool, Tottenham, and Manchester United, they were all sluggish in their opening fixtures. But Manchester City lay down a marker on the opening day that they are the real contenders for the Premier League title this season. Manchester City were excellent during the first half of the game. Thanks to the useless tackle on Kevin de Bruyne, the Citizens took the lead in first 20 minutes. De Bruyne successfully converted the penalty to give Manchester City the lead. The second goal came during the first 35 minutes of the game. It was a well worked goal by the Citizens, with Raheem Sterling providing a beautiful assist for the young Phil Foden to score his first goal of the season. The second half started quite slowly with Manchester City dominating the ball and giving Wolves no chance to score. Wolves finally got into life in the 78th minute of the game. Podence curled a wonderful cross into the six-yard box, and Raul Jimenez was up to reach it, heading it down into the goal. Jimenez now has two in two Premier League matches. Manchester City’s new signing Ferran Torres made his debut in the 80th minute of the game. The Citizens defended well in the final stages of the game. City scored another goal in the stoppage time when Jesus fired the shot from just outside of the six yard box and somehow it went through Patricio’s legs. Final score Wolves 1-3 Manchester City. Man of the matchKevin de Bruyne was named man of the match for his amazing individual performance. Match highlights

Wolves vs Manchester City – a fascinating fixture indeedThe new Premier League week kicks off with a banger of a fixture. Wolves and Manchester City are ready to play their first match of the season. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will be hoping to wrestle back the title from Liverpool. If Manchester City is to mount a better title challenge this season then this is the fixture where they must show improvement as compared to last season. Wolves beat Manchester City both away and at home last season. Pep Guardiola’s side looked vulnerable against the roadrunner of Wolves known as Adama Traore. Wolves did the league double over the previous league champions, and tonight they could become the first team to ever beat a team managed by Guardiola in three successive league matches. Wolverhampton finished 7th in the league last season but Wolves could be the toughest challenge Guardiola could face in the new season. Guardiola only has a losing record against two managers he has faced at least five times – Nuno Santo (Wolves’ manager) and Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool’s manager). Manchester City will be hoping not to drop any points at the start of the season. Such is the standard at the top of the Premier League now that any dropped points – even in the opening fixture – could prove costly, and City could find themselves chasing Liverpool again. Head to HeadWolves and Manchester City played so far 17 matches. Wolves won 4 direct matches. Manchester City won 9 matches. 4 matches ended in a draw. On average in direct matches, both teams scored 2.88 goals per Match. So this match will definitely be a goal galore and both sides are favorites to win the match. Expected lineups

Chelsea vs Liverpool review – a dominant performance by the RedsChelsea vs Liverpool is always a close contest and both teams are capable of winning the fixture by any means. But today, it wasn’t the case. Liverpool came at Stamford Bridge with a purpose and they looked to be the far better side. Chelsea’s claims of being “title contenders” were shattered by the champions as they cruised past the Blues easily. The first half started quite slowly as both teams looked to be sensible. Liverpool had the most possession during the first half and Chelsea were happy to sit in the back and defend. At the stroke of the half time, Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson played a long ball to Sadio Mane who was fouled by Chelsea’s center back Christensen. The foul was checked by VAR and the Chelsea center back was shown a red card for the intentional foul. The first half ended 0-0. Chelsea started the second half with 10 men and Liverpool started the half by attacking Chelsea’s defence. Liverpool scored twice within the first 8 minutes of the second half and both by Sadio Mane. The first goal was a brilliant team goal that Sadio headed in after an exquisite pass from Roberto Firmino. The second goal was purely down to Sadio’s work rate as he hounded Chelsea’s keeper to win the ball from him and pass it into the net. Chelsea won a penalty late in the second half after Thiago’s slightest touch on Timo Werner. But it just wasn’t Chelsea’s day as Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson saved the penalty taken by Jorginho, which isn’t an easy task. The final whistle blew and the score was Chelsea 0-2 Liverpool.
Man of the matchSadio Mane was awarded the man of the match for his amazing performance and two goals that sealed the deal for Liverpool. Chelsea vs Liverpool: previewLiverpool visits Stamford Bridge on the second match week of Premier League season 2020-21. The host, Chelsea, built a strong team this transfer window after spending more than $200million on new players. Liverpool also spent around $50million this transfer window so the gap is there. Both sides won their respective opening matches, with Chelsea winning against Brighton and Liverpool winning against Leeds. Now both sides look to extend their winning streak. Both sides are fairly balanced and strong enough to grab the victory. It will be anyone’s game. Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard, will be hoping that the star duo Werner and Havertz shine for his side – as the new signings look to make an impact for Chelsea. Perhaps the biggest team news for Jurgen Klopp heading into this tie is that Thiago is eligible to make his Liverpool debut at Stamford Bridge, having been registered with the Premier League before the weekend’s cutoff. While speaking to the media outlets, Jurgen Klopp stated that his side has no new injuries. On the other hand, Frank Lampard is facing injury issues with Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, and Thiago Silva. Liverpool will no doubt fancy their chances against Chelsea keeper Kepa. Mo Salah will be licking his teeth at his statistics and will be looking to increase his tally of goals. On the other hand, Chelsea will be hoping that their star signings of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz outclass their opponents. Chelsea vs Liverpool: head-to-headChelsea won 26 direct matches. Liverpool won 22 matches. 17 matches ended in a draw. On average in direct matches, both teams scored 2.40 goals per Match.
